It’s easy to setup and install, relatively easy to learn how to use, and has a massive library of plugins and extensions that can increase it’s functionality to do just about anything. Whether you’re looking for an professional online presence, want to show the world your portfolio, want to sell products online, or simply want a place to blog, WordPress is the platform for you.

After several years of creating websites I’ve identified 5 steps you can take that give a new website an edge over the millions of other websites started every year. It never ceases to amaze me the number of ads that completely forget a call to action. The #1 rule of good advertising is tell potential customers what action you want them to take. ‘Click Here For More Information’, ‘Buy This Product Now’, ‘Sign Up Today’, etc… Don’t be shy about it either. Whether you’re running an ad on TV, in a newspaper, or placing a banner online, make sure to always include a call to action.
