One Hour Backlinks is a relatively new service that builds backlinks to your website in an hour or less. Not only that, but they have an easy-to-use interface, reasonable prices, and good reporting. In this review I’ll explain how it all works.
What Are Backlinks and Why Do I Need Them?
A quick overview – and skip this if you already know. Backlinks are simply links from other websites BACK to your website. In the eyes of the search engines, these links are votes for you website, and they improve your rankings in the search engines.
Long story short, if you want to get more traffic from the search engines, including Google – then you should care a LOT about backlinks.
[notice]Ideally links back to your site will have ‘anchor text’ that includes your keyword. If you want to rank for the keyword ‘blue widgets’ then your anchor text should be blue widgets. A link to your site in HTML should then look like this: blue widgets
How One Hour Backlinks Works
One Hour Backlinks (OHB) creates comments links back to your website. Comment links are links found in the comments of blogs, and specifically they’re the links that are ‘under’ your name when you post to a blog.
You might think that this would make blog owners angry – and normally you’d be correct, but OHB, much like other link builders, has built a list of blogs that automatically approve comments and are unmonitored which allows OHB to place your keywords in the name field, so you get good anchor-text links.
Realistically many of these blogs have been abandoned and are just taking up space on the web. At some point it’s likely that these blogs will disappear, and your links will disappear with them. Backlinking is an ongoing process, and a certain amount of turnover is standard. That’s why you need to keep building links to your site until it has enough visitors to gain some momentum on it’s own.
Isn’t Link Building Black Hat?
The short answer is yes. Google would rather you not build backlinks. The problem is that everyone else is doing it too – and if you want to rank in the SERPS (search engine results pages) for a competitive keyword, then you need to do it too. This is one of those necessary evil kinda things.
How to Use One Hour Backlinks
This is the best part about OHB – it’s incredibly easy to use! You can view the control panel by clicking here (my affiliate link) but let me run down a couple things first.
#1 – OHB will always give you more link than you order. On my last order of 525 backlinks, they delivered close to 750.
#2 – It’s actually cheaper to buy slightly more links due to the tiered pricing structure. As you can see in my picture, 525 links costs $9.98 – whereas 500 links costs $10.00. Not a huge difference, but may as well pay a bit less and get more links, right?
#3 – You can enter multiple keywords on the left side, and multiple URLs on the right, but One Hour Backlinks will randomly mix up the keywords and the URLs, so make sure they’re all interchangeable. If you want different keywords/urls, you’ll have to place a second order.
#4 – That said, I’d definitely recommend using multiple keywords, but it’s fine to use only 1 url. If you want to sell blue widgets, you may enter the keywords – blue widget, blue widgets, buy blue widgets, cheap blue widgets – and so on.
#5 – Make sure to put the whole URL in the URL box. Include http and everything. Your url should look like: http://www.yoursite.com/
#6 – Yes you can link to deep pages. If you have a subpage that you want to have rank for green widgets, that’s fine. Simply enter – http://www.yoursite.com/green-widgets/.
Everything else is pretty self-explanatory. I recommend paying via PayPal, and once you setup an account it’s very easy to buy more backlinks any time you want.
One of the best things about One Hour Backlinks is that they really will build you backlinks within an hour – so no waiting days and days to get a backlink report. Check out One Hour Backlinks by clicking on the button below, and keep on marketing!
Update – January 2013
While One Hour Backlinks was still up and running the last time I checked, I can’t recommend their service any more. I’ve used these links on several websites over the past 3 months with very diverse anchor text (more than 50 different anchors) and the links had no positive impact on position and possibly even hurt my rankings. Use at your own risk.
